1925
In July 1925, Governors from across the country toured the state of Maine, including Bar Harbor, aboard the Navy Dirigible Shenandoah. They were in the state attending the Annual Conference of Governors at the world famous Poland Spring Hotel. The original steel pier is still in service today at Bar Harbor Inn.
