Just beyond the Reading Room you’ll find our casual cocktail lounge with a rich history beginning in 1887 as the home of the Oasis Club. The lounge served as the social scene for summer residents, including the likes of Vanderbilts, Pulitzers, and Morgans. Linger over a glass of wine or regional brew while enjoying conversation and dining on locally inspired appetizers and light fare. Live piano entertainment, cozy tables and bar seating combine for a relaxing and inviting space to end a day of exploring. If you’d prefer, the lounge balcony offers a quiet retreat to enjoy the sun setting over Frenchman Bay while sipping a Wild Maine Blueberry Martini and indulging with our famous Crab Cakes.
