Arrival Information & Policies

Below are the Bar Harbor Inn policies and general information regarding check-in and check-out. For additional details, please contact us directly and ask to speak to one of our helpful associates.

All Reservations require an advanced credit card deposit equal to the first night’s lodging.

In the event a confirmed reservation must be cancelled:

REFUND:
Guests may cancel their reservations up to 10 days prior to their arrival date. The deposit will be refunded minus a $35 administration fee.

NO REFUND:
If a reservation is cancelled 9 days or fewer prior to arrival, the deposit will not be refunded.

CANCELLATION INSURANCE:
For a nominal fee, this service is offered to protect our deposit from unforeseen events. If it is necessary to cancel or reschedule a reservation, all fees and forfeitures will be waived if the cancellation or changes are made by 10 a.m. of the confirmed arrival date. Cancellation insurance must be purchased 10 or more days prior to arrival date.

 

 

An uninsured deposit will not be refundable for cancellations made nine days or fewer from the confirmed arrival date.

A charge of $20 per adult, per night will be applied to any reservation exceeding more than 2 adults per room. Children between the ages of 6-17 will be an additional $10 per child, per night.

On property guest parking is included. Complimentary valet service is also provided to hotel and restaurant guests.

The Bar Harbor Inn is smoke free within the guest rooms and buildings. Please check with our front desk for designated smoking areas are available on the property.

We welcome Service Dogs as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act. Witham Family Hotels complies with the ADA, state, and local laws regarding Service Animals. If bringing a service dog. we ask that you inform our team at the time of booking so we can prepare for your arrival. Service dogs are to remain under the control of the owner, whether by voice command, leash, or harness and may not be left unattended in your hotel room. A service animal may be asked to leave the premises if either (a) it is a direct threat to the health or safety of others, or (2) it would result in substantial physical damage to the property of others, or (3) it substantially interferes with the reasonable enjoyment of the accommodations by others. Guests traveling with a service dog will not be charged a pet cleaning fee. However, charges may be incurred, should a service animal damage or soil the premises.
We love pets, but they are not allowed on property. Animals, including emotional support, comfort, or companion animals are not considered service animals under the ADA and/or state and local laws, and are not allowed on the premises. We reserve the right to not provide accommodations or ask a guest to leave the premises should they be in violation of this policy. Our usual cancellation policy will apply.

Pack &  Plays and Roll Away beds are available upon request. Not all rooms can accommodate Roll Away beds, please inquire when booking your reservations.

Check-in: 3pm

Early check-in
Should you arrive at the property before your check-in time luggage storage is available and the use of the hotel leisure facilities is welcome. A request for early check-in can be made direct with the hotel however it is not guaranteed. If you expect to arrive early and would like to access your room immediately we recommend you to book your room from the night before.

Check-out time is 11am.

Late check-outs may only be arranged with the Front Desk upon check-in or during your stay and are subject to availability based on occupancy. If you wish to guarantee a later check out we recommend booking an additional night.
